Connecticut has no active county governments, New Haven County is a historical/geographic designation. Property records are maintained per-municipality and aggregated into the statewide CT CAMA & Parcel Layer 2024 (the SAME FeatureServer used for Hartford County). To scope to New Haven County you MUST filter by Town_Name; the layer carries every CT town in one table. New Haven County towns: New Haven, Waterbury, Meriden, Milford, West Haven, Hamden, East Haven, North Haven, Branford, Cheshire, Naugatuck, Wallingford, Guilford, Madison, Seymour, Derby, Ansonia, Orange, Woodbridge, Bethany, Beacon Falls, Middlebury, Oxford, Prospect, Southbury, Wolcott. Verified 2026-06-20: Town_Name='New Haven' returns 27,251 parcels; UPPER(Owner) LIKE '%SMITH%' returns real residential parcels (e.g. '653 WASHINGTON AV'). NOTE: Parcel_ID comes back blank for some towns (New Haven included) because those municipalities did not report it to OPM, Owner + Location_1 remain populated. For authoritative records use the relevant town Assessor's office (e.g. New Haven: cityofnewhaven.com).

New Haven County's Connecticut_CAMA_and_Parcel_Layer layer exposes a parcel identifier (Parcel ID (may be blank for some towns incl. New Haven)), owner names (Town Name (REQUIRED filter. Set to a New Haven County town, e.g. New Haven, Waterbury, Meriden, Milford, West Haven, Hamden), Owner Name, Co-Owner Name), and address fields (Property Location / Address, Mailing Address). Use it for owner-name lookups and address-based parcel searches. 6 of 17 listed fields accept queries; the rest are returned on read but not indexed for search. Served as an ArcGIS FeatureServer layer, so edits and applyEdits operations are technically exposed (read access only is published here); last verified 2026-06-20.
/query?where=…&outFields=*&f=jsonto the URL. The sample query above is a working example you can paste into a browser tab to see the raw JSON response.Counties publish parcel data through their own ArcGIS Server installations, each with its own schema. One county uses APN, another uses PIN, a third uses PARCEL_ID. Some expose owner names; others keep them on a separate assessor's portal. The searchable fields list above reflects what New Haven County actually publishes, not what you might expect from a national standard (there isn't one).
For background, see What is an APN?
services3.arcgis.com serves New Haven County, Connecticut parcels over public ArcGIS REST, but, like most county servers, it may not send the CORS headers a browser needs for a cross-origin fetch. If a direct browser call fails, the layer still works from curl, Postman, or a server-side script; the UrbanKit parcel lookup tool proxies the request, so a search that succeeds there confirms the layer is genuinely public.
We last verified New Haven County's FeatureServer layer on 2026-06-20. County GIS teams move services without notice, so if you hit a fresh 404, tell us and we'll re-check. Atlas entries are re-verified on a rolling basis.
New Haven County's layer is hosted on Esri ArcGIS Online. Public ArcGIS endpoints rarely rate-limit individual reads, but services3.arcgis.com can throttle heavy automated traffic at the host level. Page through results with resultOffset / resultRecordCount and request only the fields you need. There's no API key and no charge from the county.
