75+ fields confirmed. This is the same NYS Tax Parcels Public statewide endpoint used for New York County (Manhattan), filter by COUNTY_NAME='Suffolk' for Suffolk County. Suffolk is the most populous county on Long Island (~1.5M residents). SWIS_SBL_ID is the canonical parcel identifier (26-character SWIS + SBL concatenation); PRINT_KEY is the human-readable tax map reference (e.g. '1.-1-1'). PRIMARY_OWNER is the assessed owner. Note the NYC-area MAPPLUTO endpoint does NOT cover Suffolk. That endpoint is for the five NYC boroughs only. This statewide layer has 75+ attributes including assessed values, market values, year built, building style, heat/fuel type, bedrooms, school district, sewer/water type. Data is the annual NYS Real Property System roll export updated each September/October. ROLL_YR=2025 confirmed in live query results. Municipalities within Suffolk include Babylon, Brookhaven, East Hampton, Huntington, Islip, Riverhead, Shelter Island, Smithtown, Southampton, Southold, all accessible via the same COUNTY_NAME='Suffolk' filter.

Suffolk County's NYS_Tax_Parcels_Public layer exposes a parcel identifier (SWIS-SBL Parcel Identifier), owner names (Primary Owner Name, Additional Owner Name), and address fields (Parcel Address, Mailing Address). Use it for owner-name lookups and address-based parcel searches. 7 of 16 listed fields accept queries; the rest are returned on read but not indexed for search. Served as an ArcGIS MapServer layer, which supports query operations but not write operations; last verified 2026-05-14.

One county uses APN, another uses PIN, a third uses PARCEL_ID. Some expose owner names; others keep them on a separate assessor's portal. The searchable fields list above reflects what Suffolk County actually publishes, not what you might expect from a national standard (there isn't one).

gisservices.its.ny.gov serves Suffolk County, New York parcels over public ArcGIS REST, but, like most county servers, it may not send the CORS headers a browser needs for a cross-origin fetch. If a direct browser call fails, the layer still works from curl, Postman, or a server-side script; the UrbanKit parcel lookup tool proxies the request, so a search that succeeds there confirms the layer is genuinely public.
We last verified Suffolk County's MapServer layer on 2026-05-14. County GIS teams move services without notice, so if you hit a fresh 404, tell us and we'll re-check. Atlas entries are re-verified on a rolling basis.
Suffolk County's layer is hosted by the county on gisservices.its.ny.gov. Public ArcGIS endpoints rarely rate-limit individual reads, but gisservices.its.ny.gov can throttle heavy automated traffic at the host level. Page through results with resultOffset / resultRecordCount and request only the fields you need. There's no API key and no charge from the county.
