Sumter County (FIPS 12119) is served by the Florida Department of Revenue statewide cadastral layer, filter with CO_NO=70. The layer carries the annual county tax roll and exposes OWN_NAME, OWN_ADDR1/OWN_CITY/OWN_STATE/OWN_ZIPCD for the owner's mailing address, PHY_ADDR1/PHY_CITY/PHY_ZIPCD for the situs address, PARCEL_ID, ALT_KEY, JV, LND_VAL, ACT_YR_BLT, TOT_LVG_AR, DOR_UC and the two most recent sales. CO_NO is an FDOR-internal county number, not a FIPS code; the value above was established by querying this layer at the county's Census internal point and reading back the CO_NO of the parcel there. The county's own Property Appraiser holds the authoritative record, including exemptions and mid-year changes. Two measured limits, both about speed rather than coverage: the layer indexes OBJECTID, PARCEL_ID and geometry but not CO_NO, so an attribute search scoped by county alone scans 10.8 million parcels, while a spatial or PARCEL_ID search does not; and it refuses a query carrying a small resultRecordCount, answering HTTP 200 with a parameter error after about 55 seconds where the same query without that parameter answers in one to nine seconds.

Sumter County's FDOR Cadastral 2025 layer exposes a parcel identifier (Parcel ID (FDOR statewide parcel identifier)), owner names (Owner Name, Owner Mailing Address, Owner Mailing City), and address fields (Physical (Situs) Address, Physical Address City). Use it for owner-name lookups and address-based parcel searches. 8 of 20 listed fields accept queries; the rest are returned on read but not indexed for search.
